Zucchini is considered both a vegetable and a fruit according to the country and belongs to the same species as the pumpkin. Its main component is water, followed by carbohydrates. This fruit-vegetable stands out for its folic acid (vitamin B9, which helps the production of red and white blood cells), vitamin C and the B-complex vitamins (B1, B2 and B6). It also helps with the development of bone tissue and has a diuretic action, which in turn helps regulate blood pressure.
